Friends of Black Rock-High Rock is hosting the Wild & Scenic Film Festival on Tour in 2020!
This year we return to the Whitney Peak Hotel, screening our films on third floor of the hotel above the Cargo Concert Hall on January 25th, 2020!
The Wild & Scenic Film Festival on Tour is cultivated from South Yuba River Citizen League's Wild & Scenic Film Festival. We have chosen this unique line up of short films that combines stellar filmmaking, beautiful cinematography and first-rate storytelling to inform, inspire and ignite solutions and possibilities to restore the earth and human communities. Attendees can expect to see award winning films about nature, community activism, adventure, conservation, water, energy and climate change, wildlife, environmental justice, agriculture, and Native American and indigenous cultures.
We will have partner tables, a raffle for our signature prizes, and a silent auction featuring a variety of prizes from our national and local partners, including Peak Design, Cliff Bar, Earth Justice, Kleen Kanteen, and Seirra Nevada Brewing Company.
Tickets $20; Students, Seniors (55+), and Veterans $18; Children 5 and under Free!
Doors open @ 6pm for a No-Host Bar and social hour. Films start @ 7pm. Event ends at 10 pm.
